RACING / GAME PROTOTYPE · 2026
VISIT PROJECT ↗︎This one started years ago as something I wrote by hand: a driving model, a track, a chase camera, and a feature list that grew faster than the time I had for it. It sat unfinished the way hobby projects always do. This pass was about closing that gap — with AI in the loop instead of a blank editor and a free weekend.
The car and the track furniture came out of Tripo3D. Claude Code worked as the programming partner: pulling the old monolithic loop apart into modules, wiring up the systems that were still missing — lap timing, checkpoints, camera modes, a clean reset — and keeping the code readable enough that I can still hand-write the parts I actually care about. Assisted, not autopiloted.
The renderer is a Three.js WebGPU build, with TSL driving the road surface, the neon strips, the clear coat on the car and the speed-stretched FX pass that kicks in at the top of the rev range. What you are watching is the prototype running in a browser tab — same track, same handling model, finally finished.
